Quetta Set to Celebrate Basant Festival from Feb 13-15

Quetta is getting ready to celebrate the Basant festival from February 13 to 15, bringing the colorful spring tradition back to the city. If the celebrations go as planned, Quetta could become the second major city after Lahore to fully revive this lively and popular festival.

During Basant, the sky is expected to be filled with bright and colorful kites. People of all ages are preparing to take part in kite flying, which is the main attraction of the festival.

Local markets are already busy with shoppers buying kites, strings, and other related items. Many people are also purchasing yellow clothes, as yellow is considered the traditional color of Basant and a symbol of spring and happiness.

Shopkeepers and vendors are excited about the increase in business. Stalls selling festive decorations and accessories have been set up in different parts of the city. The atmosphere is becoming more cheerful as families prepare to celebrate together.

In addition to kite flying, several cultural programs are being organized across Quetta. These include music performances, traditional dances, and entertainment shows. Food stalls will offer a variety of local dishes and snacks, giving families a chance to enjoy both the festival and delicious meals.

Special activities are also being planned for children to make the event more family-friendly. Organizers hope the celebrations will bring people together and create a positive and joyful environment.
