Rainfall Expected to Continue Across the Country Until July 18

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted more rain in many parts of the country, including the capital city, Islamabad.

People can expect thunderstorms, strong winds, and heavy showers in several areas such as Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, and some parts of Sindh. Some places may even see very heavy rainfall that could cause local flooding.

Many cities in Punjab, like Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Murree, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, and Multan, are likely to get more rain in the coming days. In Lahore’s Samanabad area, the highest rainfall so far was recorded at 147 mm, showing just how strong this wet spell has been. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, places like Swat, Malakand, and Chitral will also receive more showers.

According to PMD officials, this rainy weather is expected to continue until July 18. After that, the rain is likely to move towards the southern regions. Between July 18 and July 20, heavy rain is predicted in parts of Sindh, including big cities like Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur.

People living in these areas are advised to stay alert and take care during thunderstorms and heavy rain. Local authorities may also issue safety guidelines to avoid problems like waterlogging and traffic jams.

The PMD has asked the public to keep checking weather updates so they can plan their travel and daily activities safely. This extended wet spell might bring relief from the heat but also calls for extra caution on the roads.
