Rashid Latif recently mentioned in his YouTube channel that despite performing exceptionally well, there has been extensive media discussion about his captaincy.
The wicket-keeper further stated that while the PCB has shown trust in him, he believes that Babar should step down from his captaincy as it could have a significant impact on his personal performance.
“Babar will remain captain. However, my advice to Babar Azam is to step down [from captaincy], if someone tries to influence him from outside,” Rashid Latif added.
According to a statement made by PCB Chairman Najam Sethi last month, the future of the national team captain would be determined by the newly appointed coaching staff following the conclusion of the current white-ball series.
