Recruitment Drive in Dubai! Riyadh Air to Hire Air Hostess, Pilots & More

The Saudi Crown Prince unveiled plans for a new national airline, Riyadh Air, slated to commence operations in mid-2025. This ambitious venture, backed by the Saudi sovereign wealth fund Public Investment Fund (PIF), aims to play a pivotal role in Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification and job creation initiatives outlined in Vision 2030.

Riyadh Air has set a target of recruiting 300 flight attendants by the end of 2024 and is actively conducting a recruitment drive in key locations, including Dubai, Paris, and Saudi Arabia.

Peter Bellew, the Chief Operating Officer of Riyadh Air, shared insights into the recruitment process, indicating that the airline is seeking to fill various positions, ranging from cabin crew and pilots to engineers, maintenance staff, and corporate roles. The goal is not only to build a skilled team but also to contribute significantly to the global aviation landscape.

Bellew emphasized the overwhelming response received since the announcement, with over 900,000 applications pouring in from a diverse pool of candidates representing more than 200 nationalities. This surge of interest underscores the global anticipation surrounding Riyadh Air’s entry into the aviation industry.

As part of its strategic moves, Riyadh Air is set to participate in the Dubai Airshow, where it is expected to make a substantial order, reportedly for 100 Boeing 737 Max planes. This announcement aligns with the airline’s vision of establishing a robust fleet for its operations. Additionally, Riyadh Air plans to unveil its second livery during the airshow, creating further anticipation and excitement within the aviation community.

With plans to fly to over 100 destinations by 2030, Riyadh Air is not only aiming to provide comprehensive air travel services but also to contribute significantly to job creation and economic growth, solidifying its role as a key player in the realization of Saudi Arabia’s long-term developmental goals.
