Resolution Submitted in Punjab Assembly to Ban Styling of Beards

PML-N lawmaker Rukhsana Kausar has once again called for a complete ban on beard styling in Pakistan. She has submitted a new resolution in the Punjab Assembly, asking the federal government to take strict action against those who style their beards and the barbers or salons who offer these services.

In her resolution, Rukhsana Kausar said that the beard is an important Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and should be treated with respect. She argued that turning beards into fashion trends or fancy designs goes against Islamic teachings and shows disrespect for this sacred tradition.

The resolution explains that beard styling is not only unnecessary but also sinful because it distorts an important part of Islamic culture. Kausar believes that modern styles and fashionable cuts damage the true purpose and value of keeping a beard.

She urged the government to pass strict laws that would ban all beard styling services across the country. According to her, this step is needed to protect Islamic values from being misused in the name of modern trends.

This is not the first time Rukhsana Kausar has raised this issue. Back in July 2020, she put forward a similar motion but it did not go forward at that time. With this new resolution, she hopes the government will take stronger action now.

Many people are now waiting to see how the federal government will respond to her demand and whether a nationwide ban on beard styling will actually be put in place.
