Karachi is known for its streets and robbery crimes happening in the most unique ways. However, in a surprising turn of events, police in Karachi are also being a victim of robbers recently. The incidents of weapons being stolen from police officers happened around 8 times in one month.
A recent incident happened near Mansehra Colony, where three police officers from Sharifi Goth Police Station were forced to give their weapons by armed robbers riding on two motorcycles. As per the sources, the policemen were sitting at a tea hotel with a civilian friend. The looters seized their official and personal weapons and escaped.
Street crimes have surged in Karachi at an alarming trend, making the protection of civilians as well as law enforcement officers at risk. Moreover, none of the confiscated weapons have yet been recovered, and neither the arrests have been made.
