Roller Coaster Riders Stuck Upside Down for Hours at Festival After Mechanical Failure

At a fair in Wisconsin, a roller coaster experienced a mechanical failure, leaving eight riders hanging upside down for several hours. The incident took place during the Forest County Festival in Crandon, which is around 100 miles northwest of Green Bay.

Local authorities reported that the Fireball roller coaster broke down near the top of a loop, trapping the riders. The Crandon Fire Department was called to the festival site at the Crandon International Offroad Raceway just after 1:30 pm local time.

It took approximately two hours to free the first trapped passenger, with the last one being brought down a little after 5 pm. Nine people received medical treatment on-site, and one individual was taken to the hospital.
