Prime Minister Imran Khan is poised to announce the Roshan Apna Ghar scheme for foreign Pakistanis after the launch of the Roshan Digital Account, according to his office.
The Prime Minister’s Office stated in a series of tweets that the project is being launched to make it “easier” for abroad Pakistanis to buy homes in Pakistan.
The project is being launched as part of Roshan Digital Account, according to the PM Office, in order to combat challenges faced by international buyers due to a slew of manual procedures, the requirement of the buyer’s physical presence, and frauds and forgeries.
“Now, under the Roshan Apna Ghar programme, abroad Pakistanis will be able to engage in Pakistan’s real estate sector or acquire bank financing at very competitive rates,” stated the tweet.
The Prime Minister’s Office stated that there was previously “almost no funding” available for abroad Pakistanis to purchase a home in Pakistan for their families.
