Rs.68 Billion Strategy Developed to Generate Employment Opportunities in Tribal Districts

The planning and development department has devised a Rs68 billion strategy to build job opportunities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s combined tribal districts.

To create employment in tribal districts, the Economic Development Plan (EDP) will concentrate on strengthening businesses, mines and minerals, small and medium enterprises, skills development, tourism, agribusiness, and green economics.

According to the official documents, a holistic action plan for tribal districts will be established, with a diverse range of interventions bridging capability and resource gaps for all potential economic sectors.

It will have short-, medium-, and long-term projects, with short-to-medium-term projects lasting one to three years and medium-to-long-term projects lasting three years.
