Ruet-e-Hilal Committee to Sight Moon of Ramadan Tomorrow in Peshawar

Tomorrow evening, Maulana Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad will lead a meeting of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee in Peshawar to look for the Ramadan moon.

The Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Azad, is asking all Pakistanis to join in spotting the crescent moon. He hopes that everyone will start Ramadan together across the country.

If they see the moon, Ramadan will start on Tuesday.

At the same time, other Ruet-e-Hilal Committees in different areas will also meet on Shaban 29 after Asr prayers to look for the Ramadan moon of the year 1445.

According to the Met Office, the Ramadan moon might appear around 2 pm on Sunday, and people might see it the next day, when it will be more than 28 hours old.

During this holy month, many Pakistanis and Muslims around the world will fast from sunrise to sunset. Depending on where they are, fasting could last from 12 to 17 hours each day.
