Russian authorities are going to introduce electronic visas for Indian citizens starting from August 1. This will make it easier and quicker for Indians to apply for a visa to visit Russia for tourism, business, events, or as guests.
The processing time for the e-visa will be a maximum of four days, and the visa will be valid for 60 days, allowing a stay of up to 16 days in Russia.
The introduction of the e-visa system is seen as a positive move to promote tourism and enhance travel experiences for Indians. Russia has many exciting places to explore, like Moscow with its famous landmarks, the historic Golden Ring cities, the stunning Lake Baikal, and the beautiful landscapes along the Trans-Siberian Railway.
