Russia Reportedly Band Pakistan Post Over Rs 55 Million Unpaid Dues

Russia has reportedly stopped accepting Pakistan Post’s services because Pakistan Post has not cleared outstanding payments worth Rs. 55 million. According to officials, this suspension has been in place since August 2025.

During a session of the National Assembly, Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan explained that Pakistan Post still has unpaid dues going back to 2021. These older payments amount to more than Rs. 310 million. He said that the delay happened because the department has not yet received the required funds.

The Ministry of Communications added that once the Finance Division releases the money, Pakistan Post will be able to settle all pending payments. After the dues are cleared, postal services between Pakistan and Russia are expected to resume. The government assured that it is working to resolve the issue as soon as possible so that people and businesses relying on international mail can continue their operations without further problems.
