Sahibzada Farhan Nominated for Player of the Tournament Award in T20 World Cup

Pakistan’s opening batter, Sahibzada Farhan, has been nominated for the Player of the Tournament award in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup after delivering strong performances throughout the competition.

The International Cricket Council announced a shortlist of eight players who are in contention for the award. Farhan earned his place on the list after scoring 383 runs in seven matches for the Pakistan national cricket team.

His performances have been one of the highlights of the tournament. The right handed batter maintained an impressive average of 76.60 while scoring at a strike rate of 160.25. His attacking style at the top of the order helped Pakistan build strong starts in several matches.

Farhan also set a new record for the most runs scored by a player in a single edition of the T20 World Cup. During the tournament, he scored two centuries, one against Sri Lanka and another against Namibia. He is the only player to register two centuries in the same edition of the event.

Cricket analysts say Farhan’s consistent performances have played an important role in Pakistan’s campaign so far. His ability to score quickly while staying at the crease has made him one of the standout players in the competition.

The final decision for the Player of the Tournament award will be announced at the end of the T20 World Cup.
