In order to help in the response to the tragic earthquake in his country Turkey, celebrity chef Salt Bae has pledged to prepare 5,000 meals every day.
There are fears that the death toll could rise much higher in the upcoming days as the disaster, which also affected Syria’s neighbours, continues to claim more lives.
Experts have cautioned that the likelihood of discovering more survivors in the bitter cold is decreasing as the hours and days go by.
Chef Saltbae announced on his Instagram page that he will start a food drive with “unlimited meals for everyone” to help the rescues.
On an Instagram post, he stated: “We started serving hot food to more customers, with a daily aim of 5000 people.
