In the first quarter, Samsung Electronics Co Ltd regained its place as the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer from Apple, accounting for a fifth of total global shipments.

According to Canalys, Samsung delivered 76.5 million smartphones in the third quarter, capturing a 22 percent market share. Thanks to strong sales of its flagship Galaxy S21 smartphone series, the company announced a 66 percent increase in quarterly profit in its mobiles business on Thursday.
Apple shipped 52.4 million iPhones in the January-March season, dropping to second place with a 15% market share, as per Canalys.
Moreover, according to Counterpoint analyst Varun Mishra, Apple still has a record market share in the United States, China, India, and Japan, with the iPhone Pro Max becoming a top seller in the US.
