Samsung Sued by the Owners of Galaxy S20 Over a Strange Flaw

Consumers who paid more than $1000 for a defective phone have retained Hagens Berman and filed a class-action lawsuit against Samsung, claiming that the company concealed a defect in all Galaxy S20 models’ camera glass. According to the case, the firm engaged in fraud, breached its warranties, and violated several consumer protection laws.

A couple of Samsung Galaxy S20 users began mentioning the camera glass breaking for no apparent cause in April of last year. Owners of Galaxy S20 handsets with broken glass have banded together and filed a complaint against Samsung almost a year after the first case was reported.

The case was filed on April 27th and is currently pending in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Owners of the faulty phones have spent nearly $400 on repairs, and the issue has not been resolved, with the camera glass claimed to have cracked again. A design flaw is causing the problem to recur.

Despite the fact that a complaint has been filed, the affected Galaxy S20 users are unlikely to obtain substantial compensation.
