Samsung Electronics continues to remain as the world’s biggest TV seller on the back of its QLED and big TVs for the 15th straight year in 2020, a report revealed on Wednesday.
As per data from industry analyst Omdia, the South Korean tech giant had a market penetration of a record 31.9% in terms of sales last year, up from 30.9% a year earlier, expanding its lead in the market.
The global TV market expanded slightly previous year in the midst of the latest coronavirus pandemic, as per Omdia, hitting 225.35 million units. In the fourth quarter alone, world-wide TV shipments soared to a record high of 70.24 million units.
When combined with the fast-growing QLED portfolio, leadership in the 75-inch ultra-large screen segment, the launch and creation of a Lifestyle TV portfolio, the growth of Samsung across the Visual Display Market reflects a commitment to the most exclusive home viewing experiences.
