Sarah Javed has made history by becoming the first Christian Deputy Commissioner in Sindh, Pakistan. This is a big step forward for making the country’s civil service more inclusive and diverse. Sarah passed the Central Superior Services (CSS) exam in 2014 and is part of the Pakistan Administrative Service. Over the years, she has served in many important roles. She worked as an Assistant Commissioner in various areas, including Saddar, the SITE industrial area, and Hyderabad. She also held the position of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-I) in Tharparkar. During the Covid-19 pandemic, she received national recognition for her hard work and dedication in managing the crisis.
Her recent appointment as Deputy Commissioner shows that the Sindh government is serious about giving more opportunities to people from minority communities.
