Saudi Arabia’s energy minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, has announced significant discoveries by Saudi Aramco, uncovering seven new oil and gas deposits.
These include two unconventional oil fields, a light Arabian oil reservoir, and two natural gas fields along with two natural gas reservoirs. The discoveries were made in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province and the Empty Quarter region.
Notable findings include the Ladam oil field producing 5,100 barrels per day, the Al-Farouk oil field yielding 4,557 barrels per day, and the Al-Katuf gas field producing 7.6 million cubic feet per day. These discoveries are set to enhance Saudi Arabia’s energy reserves and strengthen its energy sector.
