Saudi Arabia has “gave” two mosques to the people of Pakistan in the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK), according to the Saudi envoy to Islamabad.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia donated the King Abdul Aziz Mosque in Mansehra, KP, which can accommodate more than 10,000 worshipers, according to the Saudi embassy.
More than 6000 worshipers can be accommodated at Muzaffarabad’s King Fahd Mosque.
These mosques, which were inspired by the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque, have wide courtyards and unique designs.
“The government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia built these two sacred mosques, one in Mansehra and the other in Muzaffarabad, as a gift to the people of Pakistan,” Saudi Arabia said.
