Saudi Arabia Provides $90 Million in Aid to Palestine

Saudi Arabia has released a new portion of its yearly financial support for Palestine, confirming a payment of $90 million.

The amount was formally delivered during a meeting in Amman, where Palestinian Minister of Planning and Acting Finance Minister Estefan Salameh received the grant. Saudi Ambassador Prince Mansour bin Khalid was also present at the ceremony.

During the meeting, Salameh thanked Saudi Arabia for its steady political and financial backing. He said that this assistance is arriving at a very difficult time, as the Palestinian Authority continues to struggle with a deep financial crisis. According to him, the new funds will help the government continue operating essential public services.

Salameh also shared the appreciation of President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa, saying both leaders value Saudi Arabia’s consistent support. He added that the new installment will help ease pressure on several sectors, especially those that directly affect daily life.

Saudi officials repeated their firm position of supporting the Palestinian people and their rights. They emphasized that the money will be used to improve living conditions, with priority given to health services, education, and other public needs. The aid will help hospitals, schools, and government departments continue functioning despite ongoing financial challenges.

The Kingdom noted that its support for Palestine is long-standing and will continue in the future. Officials said that assisting the Palestinian Authority during difficult economic periods is part of Saudi Arabia’s commitment to stability and humanitarian responsibility in the region.

The announcement was welcomed by Palestinian representatives, who described the aid as timely and essential for supporting vulnerable communities.
