Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques has announced that Itikaf registration for the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah will start on March 5.
The registration will open at 11 AM (local time) on the authority’s official website and will continue until all available spots are taken.
Itikaf is a special spiritual retreat that takes place during the last ten days of Ramadan, where Muslims stay in the mosque to focus on worship, prayer, and reflection, following the tradition of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Every year, thousands of worshippers from around the world participate in Itikaf, seeking spiritual growth and closeness to Allah. The authorities are expecting a large number of applicants this year as well. Those interested are encouraged to register early to secure their place.
Itikaf provides a peaceful environment for deep prayer and connection with faith. The Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque offer a unique and sacred experience for those observing this tradition. By organizing the registration process, the Saudi authorities aim to ensure smooth arrangements for worshippers.
With Ramadan approaching, Muslims around the world are preparing for this blessed month, and many are eager to participate in Itikaf in the holiest mosques of Islam.
