Today, Gulf nations are celebrating Eidul Azha, and people gathered in large groups to offer prayers in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and other Middle Eastern countries.
In Saudi Arabia, people gathered for prayers at Masjid Al-Haram and Masjid-e-Nabawi in Makkah and Medina. Both Saudi and foreign citizens participated in Eid prayers at more than 12,000 mosques across the country. Millions of Muslims, including Pakistani citizens, offered their prayers at the two holiest sites of Islam. After the prayers, people exchanged Eid greetings and performed animal sacrifices.
The Saudi leadership sent Eidul Azha greetings to leaders of Islamic nations, emphasizing progress and prosperity in the Muslim world.In the UAE, Eid prayers were held in small and large mosques. Palestinians offered their prayers at Masjid Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem. Istanbul’s Hagia Sophia also hosted an Eid congregation, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan conveyed his best wishes to the people of Turkey.
Additionally, Eidul Azha is being celebrated today in Australia, the UK, other European countries, the US, and Canada.
