Saudi Business Delegation to Visit Pakistan Next Month for Trade Talks After Defence Pact

After signing a new defence pact, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are now preparing to strengthen their economic partnership. A high-level Saudi business delegation is scheduled to visit Pakistan next month to explore opportunities in trade and investment.

The visit is being arranged with the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), which has been actively working to attract foreign investment into the country.

To prepare for this important visit, senior officials from the Saudi Embassy recently met with Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President, Mian Abu Zar Shad. During the meeting, the embassy announced the establishment of a dedicated commercial desk at LCCI.

This desk will work as a direct link between businesses in both countries, making it easier for Pakistani exporters to connect with Saudi buyers.

The initiative is expected to bring several benefits. By promoting direct trade, it will help reduce dependence on third-party intermediaries, which often increase costs for exporters. It will also create stronger and more transparent business ties between Pakistani companies and their Saudi counterparts.

Business experts believe that Saudi Arabia’s interest in Pakistan’s economy is a positive step towards building long-term partnerships.

With Saudi investors exploring areas like energy, infrastructure, and agriculture, Pakistan has the chance to showcase its potential and secure fresh investments.

The upcoming delegation visit will not only highlight Pakistan’s trade opportunities but also demonstrate the growing trust and cooperation between the two countries. Officials hope it will open the door to joint ventures and projects that will benefit both sides.
