Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, is expected to visit Pakistan on September 10th for a short six-hour visit before heading to India for an official state visit. He was appointed as the country’s prime minister in a royal decree last year.
Since taking power in 2017, Prince Mohammed has brought about significant changes in Saudi Arabia. He’s worked on diversifying the economy beyond oil and implementing reforms like allowing women to drive and reducing the influence of religious leaders in society.
Former Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had a meeting with the Saudi Prime Minister during a visit to Saudi Arabia in April. They discussed ways to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
