Saudi Football Club Signs Pakistan’s Women Football Captain Maria Khan

The Saudi Women’s Premier League team, Eastern Flames FC, has done something amazing. They signed Maria Khan, who is the leader of Pakistan’s women’s soccer team. This is a very big deal because Maria is the first Pakistani woman football player to join a team in Saudi Arabia. She’s 31 years old and she’s been a strong leader for the women’s team in Pakistan, especially during a tournament called the SAFF Women’s Championship.

The Saudi club, Eastern Flames, is in a place called Dammam. They decided to bring Maria to their team to make their women’s team stronger for this season. They happily told everyone about this on social media. They said Maria is the first foreign professional player to join their women’s team in the premier league.

Maria Khan becoming a part of the team is really important for Pakistani athletes. She thinks that this will show that there are many talented athletes in Pakistan that people don’t always notice. She hopes that her time with this international team will open up more chances for Pakistani athletes in the future.

The Eastern Flames FC team is made up of players from different countries like Colombia, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco.

Before joining this team, Maria Khan played for WAPDA in Pakistan. She got attention from all over the world because of an amazing goal she scored in a tournament against Saudi Arabia.

This is kind of like what Hajra Khan did in 2014. She was the first Pakistani woman to be signed by a foreign team. She joined the SHR Football Club in the Maldives.
