Saudia Arabia Announces Fully Funded Scholarships for Pakistani Students

Pakistani students have been offered entirely funded scholarships by the Saudi Arabian government for studying at the kingdom’s 25 most highly ranked universities at the diploma, bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD levels.

These scholarships have also been offered to Pakistani students, including the legal residents of Saudi Arabia. Pakistan will provide scholarships to 75% of the students, with Pakistani students who are residents of the Kingdom receiving 25% of the scholarships. Successful candidates will be awarded a stipend per month, and many more benefits will be provided to them.

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) declared the scholarship program in the departments of politics, law, education, administration, economics, engineering, computer science, agriculture, Arabic, Islamic Studies, and media sciences.

A monthly stipend of 900 Saudi Riyal (SR) will be provided to the science students who achieve scholarships, whereas the students of the humanities will receive an 850 SR monthly allowance.

The students who get selected for the universities will also get a return ticket and free medical care. The candidates from Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) should be aged between 17 and 25 for Bachelor’s programmes, younger than 30 for Master’s programmes, and under 35 for PhD programmes, on the closing date of the application portal of the university.

Each university is only permitted to admit only 5% of international students, excluding the Princess Noor Binte Abdul Rehman University for Girls in Riyadh and Jamia Islamia Madinah Munawara, in which the enrollment of students on the basis of scholarship is only 8%.

Scholarships will cover 85 percent of the total seats at Jamia Islamia Madinah Munawara.

The scholarship manages free lodging; a permission for 3 month furnishings on the entrance in Saudi Arabia for married scholars; return air ticket; free medical for students and their families, if married; a three-month graduation allowance for the delivery of books; subsidised meals on campus; sports and recreational activities on campus; and support for dependents and travel expenses.
