This year’s event, organized with the fervour of Independence Day celebrations in the month August, is more than just an exhibition—it’s a beacon of hope for the nation’s youth and a catalyst for economic transformation. Powered by the Chaudhry Muhammad Akram Center for Entrepreneurship Development (CMACED) and co-hosted by leading institutions like Superior University, the University of Lahore (UOL), Green International University, and the University of Sialkot; SEE Pakistan 2024 is also being partnered by international institutions including the Universita Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore-Italy; and the Yeditepe University- Turkey. These institutions, each a pillar of academic excellence and innovation, have united with a shared vision: to transform Pakistan’s economy by nurturing a generation of problem-solvers and job creators.
A Prelude to the Entrepreneurial Greatness at SEE Pakistan 2023:
SEE Pakistan 2023 set a high standard, with APSUP organizing the Academic Excellence Awards to recognize the contributions of 23 universities across Pakistan. The event was graced by dignitaries like Prof. Dr. Ch. Abdul Rehman, Chairman of APSUP, and H.E. Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman, Governor of Punjab, underscoring the importance of quality education in fostering innovation.
Its pertinent to recall that the impact of SEE Pakistan 2023 was not just national but global. With over 1,041 startups participating from across Pakistan and international entries from 21 countries, the event became a melting pot of ideas and innovation. The top 100 startups from across the nation were given the stage at Expo Centre Lahore, where they showcased their groundbreaking ideas to a global audience. SEE Pakistan 2023 also saw the convergence of creative talents through the All-Pakistan National Song Competition, “Battle of the Bands.” This competition brought together 55 bands from across the nation, including an international entrant from Iran. The grand finale, hosted by Superior University, was a testament to the event’s spirit of fostering creativity, innovation and the freedom of showcasing talent.
SEE Pakistan 2024: A New Dawn for Entrepreneurship
Building on the success of previous years, SEE Pakistan 2024 is all set to become a transformative movement in Pakistan’s entrepreneurial landscape. This year, the event has expanded its scope, drawing participation from 1,591 startups across 161 universities in 114 cities. The top 100 startups, selected after rigorous evaluation, will present their innovations at Expo Centre Lahore.
Internationally, SEE Pakistan 2024 has attracted 165 startup applications from 32 countries, with 10 standout startups chosen to showcase their ideas at the event. With over 50 international delegates expected to attend, SEE Pakistan 2024 promises to foster a global exchange of ideas and highlight Pakistan’s growing entrepreneurial potential.
The stakes are high, with a prize pool of up to $10,000 and investment opportunities totalling up to $20 million. Ten investors are ready to back groundbreaking ideas, while a panel of 210 judges, supported by 55 mentors and mentees, will ensure that the participating startups receive the guidance needed to scale their ventures. With an expected attendance of 55,000 individuals from 32 countries, SEE Pakistan 2024 is more than just an event—it’s a platform where innovation meets opportunity, and where the future of Pakistan’s entrepreneurship is being shaped.
