“Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Is Safe & In Good Health As Pakistan Works for Return of Flotilla Activists”, Foreign Office

Pakistan’s Foreign Office has confirmed that former Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan is safe and in good health after being detained by Israeli forces during the Gaza-bound aid flotilla mission.

The confirmation came after widespread concern over the safety of Pakistani volunteers taking part in the international humanitarian effort. Officials said Pakistan is in constant contact with international partners through diplomatic channels to secure the early release and safe return of all citizens involved.

The mission, which aimed to deliver essential aid to Gaza, faced interception by the Israeli navy last week, leading to several arrests.

According to the Foreign Office, coordination with friendly countries and global organizations is ongoing to ensure that Pakistanis detained abroad are treated in accordance with international law.

The statement also highlighted Islamabad’s firm stance on the protection of human rights and support for the Palestinian cause.

Pakistan’s government reiterated its long-standing position on Palestine, calling for an immediate ceasefire, humanitarian access, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.

The Foreign Office assured the families of detained activists that every diplomatic and legal channel is being used to bring them home safely. It also appreciated the courage of those who joined the flotilla to stand in solidarity with the people of Palestine.

This development reflects Pakistan’s continued commitment to humanitarian principles and global peace efforts.
