Serene Airline Announces 2 Weekly Flights from Pakistan to China

Serene Air, a private Pakistani airline, has announced plans to start two weekly flights from Karachi to Beijing via Islamabad, beginning on November 18, 2023.

These flights, known as KHI-ISB-PKX, will land at Daxing International Airport in Beijing. This new direct flight service aims to provide more affordable travel options for both Pakistani and Chinese travelers, including business professionals, students, and those involved in projects related to the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in Pakistan.

Serene Air, which initially operated only domestic flights starting in 2017, expanded its operations internationally in January 2021, launching its first international flights to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The airline has received approval from the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority to expand further internationally, following Pakistani regulations that require airlines to operate domestically for at least one year before venturing into foreign markets.

Additionally, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), the national flag carrier, has introduced connected flights in collaboration with Air China, linking Pakistan with 16 cities in China via Beijing.

These Chinese destinations include Guangzhou, Wuhan, Urumqi, Shenzhen, Xian, Shenyang, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nanjing, Harbin, Hangzhou, Hohhot, Dunhuang, Chengdu, Changchun, and Chongqing.
