Former Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul has expressed his suspicions about Shadab Khan’s injury during the ICC World Cup 2023 match against South Africa in Chennai.
In a closely-fought game on Friday, South Africa clinched a thrilling one-wicket victory over the Pakistani team.
During the second innings of the match, an incident occurred where Pakistan’s all-rounder, Shadab Khan, suffered a head injury while fielding a ground ball. He briefly left the field for a medical evaluation but later returned. However, he was eventually replaced by Usama Mir due to a concussion.
Umar Gul, speaking on a local sports channel, suggested that Shadab Khan might have saved himself and used the injury as an excuse.
