Shahid Afridi, Babar Azam, and Kamran Akmal to Play Exhibition Match to Support Flood Victims

Some of Pakistan’s greatest cricket stars are coming together to play a charity exhibition match to help families affected by the devastating 2025 monsoon floods. Big names such as Younis Khan, Shahid Afridi, Babar Azam, and Kamran Akmal will step onto the field for this special event.

The match, called “Khel Se Khidmat” (Service Through Sports), is scheduled for August 30 at the newly built Imran Khan Cricket Stadium in Peshawar. The game will feature Peshawar Zalmi going head-to-head with Legends Eleven, creating an exciting contest for both cricket lovers and supporters of the relief campaign.

All the money raised from ticket sales will go directly to flood relief efforts. The recently completed stadium has the capacity to host about 17,000 spectators, and arrangements have been made for different categories of seating.

Fans can choose from general, VIP, and VVIP enclosures depending on their preference. Ticket prices start from as low as Rs 1,000 and go up to Rs 50,000 for premium seats, making the event accessible to people from different walks of life.

In a strong show of support, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along with several cabinet members have already purchased high-priced tickets. Their gesture is expected to encourage others to step forward and contribute.

Organizers hope the match will not only provide an entertaining evening of cricket but also raise substantial funds to support those who have lost homes, livelihoods, and loved ones in the recent floods. It is a reminder of how sports can unite a nation for a greater cause.
