Reportedly, Shahid Afridi, the former captain and a prominent name of of Pakistan’s cricket team, is poised to assume the role of federal minister within the caretaker government until the forthcoming general elections.
According to the sources, the Shahid Afridi’s name is under consideration for this significant position in the caretaker setup. Following the termination of the National Assembly’s term, former Senator Anwaar-ul-Haque Kakar has been appointed the esteemed role of the caretaker Prime Minister on August 14.
Hailing from Balochistan, Anwaar-ul-Haque took the oath of office during a ceremony held on the occasion of Pakistan’s 76th Independence Day, presided over by President Arif Alvi. Several distinguished personalities attended the event.
