Sharjah’s Restaurant Inviting All Customers For Free Iftar in Ramadan

Al Nawab Restaurant, a fine-dining establishment in Sharjah, UAE, has been making headlines for its unique approach to Ramadan. Rather than offering special menus or promotions to attract customers during the holy month, the restaurant is instead offering free Iftar meals to anyone in need.

The restaurant has put up signboards outside its locations in Mujarrah and Mahatta inviting anyone, regardless of faith or nationality, to come in for a free meal. Owner Jahanzeb Yaseen explained that the initiative is aimed at helping those who are struggling to make ends meet during Ramadan, saying “We want to share our blessings with those in need and bring them closer to Allah.”

Yaseen was inspired to start the initiative by the delivery boys who often complimented the restaurant’s food. Realizing that many people cannot afford to eat out or have responsibilities that make it difficult to spend money on food, he decided to do something to help. During Ramadan, Al Nawab Restaurant is giving away more than 700 meals every day, each containing 500g of chicken biryani, dates, fruits, salad, and a water bottle.

The response to the initiative has been overwhelmingly positive, with many locals praising the restaurant for its efforts to help those in need. This gesture of generosity is in line with the values of Ramadan, which call for acts of kindness, charity, and compassion towards others.

Al Nawab Restaurant’s initiative is a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of those who are struggling. By providing free meals to those in need, the restaurant is embodying the true spirit of Ramadan and setting an example for others to follow.
