After being “insulted” by Niaz, Akhtar, a former fast bowler, quit and walked off a Pakistan Television (PTV) broadcast.
They were on a panel with West Indies batting icon Sir Vivian Richards, former England captain David Gower, former Pakistan women’s captain Sana Mir, and former fast bowler Umar Gul for PTV Sports’ “Game On Hai.” The panel was debating the T20 World Cup match between Pakistan and New Zealand, which Pakistan won by five wickets.
