In a recent press conference, Simon Duoll, the Australian cricketer who participated in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), denied all reports claiming that he felt like being in jail during his stay in Pakistan for the tournament.
The rumors had started circulating after a few media outlets had reported that Duoll was unhappy with the facilities provided to him during his time in Pakistan, and had described his experience as being “like a jail”. However, Duoll dismissed these claims, stating that he had never said anything of the sort.
“I have no idea where these reports are coming from. I never said that I felt like being in jail in Pakistan. In fact, I had a wonderful time during the PSL and was impressed with the hospitality and warmth of the Pakistani people,” said Duoll.
Duoll further added that he had thoroughly enjoyed his time in Pakistan and had found the tournament to be well-organized and professionally run.
“I have been playing cricket for a long time now and have traveled to many countries. I can say with confidence that the PSL was one of the best tournaments I have ever played in.
The facilities were top-notch, and the organizers had taken care of every little detail to ensure that we players had a comfortable and enjoyable stay,” said Duoll.
Duoll’s comments have put to rest any rumors about his experience in Pakistan during the PSL. His praise for the tournament and the country is sure to boost the morale of Pakistani cricket fans, who are already looking forward to the next edition of the PSL.
Just spoke with Simon Doull. He denies reports quoting him as saying he was not allowed to go out in Pakistan as Babar Azam fans were waiting for him and that he stayed in Pakistan without food for many days. He says that he absolutely loved his time in Pakistan #Cricket
