Sindh Govt Allocates Rs. 19.7 Crores for Judges’ Rest House at Scenic Hawksbay

The Sindh government has announced plans to build a rest house worth Rs197 million for High Court judges at Hawksbay.

This project is part of the Law and Judiciary Department’s development plan for the year 2025–26. The rest house will serve as a peaceful retreat for members of the judiciary and will be fully funded by the new provincial budget.

In total, the government has set aside Rs1.757 billion for development projects related to the judiciary. The Hawksbay rest house is one of the key projects in this category and reflects the province’s commitment to improving facilities for the legal system.

This announcement was made during the presentation of Sindh’s new budget for 2025–26, which amounts to Rs3,451 billion. Along with funding for judiciary projects, the budget includes salary increases for government employees. Workers in grades 1 to 16 will receive a 12% pay raise, while employees in grades 17 to 22 will get a 10% increase.

The rest house project is expected to provide comfort and better living arrangements for judges, helping them rest and recharge away from their busy routines. Officials believe this initiative will contribute to the well-being of the judiciary and strengthen the overall justice system in the province.

This budget reflects Sindh’s focus on both infrastructure development and employee welfare, aiming to improve working conditions and public services across the board.
