The first all-female bus service in Pakistan will shortly begin operations, according to a Thursday announcement from the Sindh government. The service should launch early next month.
“Inshallah Pink buses will start their operation from February 1st in Karachi,” said Sharjeel Memon, the minister of information for Sindh, in a tweet today.
The first electric bus service in the nation was introduced by the Sindh government in Karachi last year. Using Khayaban-e-Ittehad, it travels from Malir Cantt to the Clock Tower Roundabout and Sea View Defense. Additionally, the airport is planned to be a stop.
Memon had emphasized that the bus service was a gift for the people of Karachi at the time of its introduction and that the launch of similar programmes will continue.
