Amid the rising population, there is a major concern as to how to cope with the rising population so the Sindh government has decided to prepare Master Plan 2047 in order to solve the problems of Karachi city.
An 8-member committee was also formed for the preparation of the master plan. In the Master plan, recommendations are given on how to tackle the growing population.
Naeem Waheed has been appointed as Project Director of the Master Plan Committee, he is a senior officer of KDA and vast amount of knowledge. The last Master plan was approved in 2007 during the tenure of Mustafa Kamal but that Master plan has not been implemented.
