The Sindh Government has unveiled plans to bring back the drive-in cinema experience in Karachi, aiming to offer residents a nostalgic yet modern way to enjoy films. The initiative was announced during a high-level meeting of the Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities Department, presided over by Provincial Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, who emphasized the government’s commitment to reviving cultural and recreational activities across the province.
In addition to reviving cinemas, the government is rolling out a range of initiatives to promote tourism and cultural engagement in Sindh. These include the third phase of a train safari connecting Karachi to Sukkur, the reopening of arts councils and public libraries to foster creative expression, and the introduction of ferry services and water sports at Keenjhar Lake. Furthermore, the government plans to host the annual Gorakh Festival at Gorakh Hill Station, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the region
These efforts reflect a broader strategy to enhance the province’s cultural landscape, attract tourists, and provide residents with enriching recreational experiences, positioning Sindh as a vibrant hub of arts, culture, and leisure.
