Position and Requirements
Job Title: Sindh Sales Tax Officer (SRB Scale 16)
Number of Vacancies: 40 positions
Educational Requirement: Candidates must have a four-year Bachelor’s degree recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. Eligible fields include Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Economics, Commerce, and Law. Applicants must either have a first division (60%) or a minimum CGPA of 2.5. Other degrees or disciplines will not be considered.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English, Urdu, and Sindhi
Domicile Requirement: Applicants must hold a Domicile and Permanent Residence Certificate (Form D) from the province of Sindh.
Age Limit: Candidates must be aged between 21 and 30 as of October 31, 2024. However, age relaxation may be applicable under the Government of Sindh’s policies.
Selection and Training Process
Selected candidates will undergo a probation period, including comprehensive training. The continuation of their role as Sindh Sales Tax Officers will depend on their performance and successful completion of a final examination. Upon successful completion of training, candidates will be eligible to join as permanent members of the SRB team, where they will play a vital role in the region’s revenue generation and tax administration.

Application Process

- Application Deadline: November 11, 2024. Late applications will not be considered.
- Selection Process: Only shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a written test, group discussion, and interview. These assessments will determine candidates’ suitability for the role.
Candidates will need to submit an application fee of Rs. 1,500 through a fee voucher generated on the IBA portal, deposited in any branch of Meezan Bank Limited. The test is scheduled to take place at IBA Karachi locations in Karachi, Sukkur, and Hyderabad.
Important Conditions and Guidelines
- Foreign Degree Holders: Applicants with foreign qualifications must provide an HEC equivalence certificate.
- Document Verification: Original documents and photocopies must be presented during the interview.
- Government Employees: Candidates currently employed in government or semi-government organizations must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective employer at the time of interview.
- Bond Agreement: Successful candidates will be required to sign a bond with SRB after joining the service, signifying their commitment to the role.
No Allowance for Travel or Training
Candidates will be responsible for their travel expenses throughout the recruitment process, including test attendance, interview, and joining if selected. No travel or accommodation allowance will be provided by SRB.
