The popular short-form video platform, SnackVideo, continues to play its part in fulfilling its social responsibility and positively impacting society. Along with providing entertainment, the platform actively participates in social causes that need widespread attention.
The recent campaign, #StandForPakistan, was designed to bring awareness and draw much-needed attention to those affected by the floods resulting from catastrophic rains in the country. From the 9th to 17th of September, users and content creators were encouraged to create, post, and share videos helping the victims of the floods that have been displaced from their homes.
“Help Spread the Knowledge,” “You can make a difference,” and “Join the prayers” were the most popular video categories that revolved around spreading knowledge about the steps people can take to protect themselves, helpful information to keep yourself and your family safe, donation drives, promotion of organizations that are doing groundbreaking work to help the victims of the flood, Duaa and prayers to help get through this time of immense crisis and much more.
In one week, the campaign saw a tremendous response from the public. The #StandForPakistan garnered more than 1.6 million posts and over 3.6 billion views.
