An unexpected incident occurred during a match in the Lankan Premier League when a Black Mamba snake made an appearance by entering the ground. The incident occurred during the match between Gal Titanza and Dambullawara.
To ensure the safety of the players, the Gal Titanza team retreated to their dugout until the snaked was removed from the field. The management of the Lanka Premier League immediately called for wildlife and rescue teams to handle the situation.
The rescue teams successfully removed the snake from the stadium and ensured the safety of the players as well as the spectators. The league is taking place in Sri Lanka and commenced on 30th July 2023.
