Despite fake news circulating on social media, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has dismissed the forecasts about widespread snow in Punjab.
The Meteorological Department has cautioned people to be wary of false information on social media. Instead, they emphasize that thick fog will persist in the plains of Punjab and KP, while frosty weather is expected in the upper parts of KP, the Pothohar region including Islamabad, and Kashmir.
In mid-January, there are expectations of light showers and snowfall in Chitral and GB. Due to the foggy conditions, daytime temperatures will remain below normal. Travelers are advised to be cautious during foggy days.
