X, formerly known as Twitter and now under Elon Musk’s ownership, has introduced voice and video call features to its platform. Currently, only premium subscribers can make calls, but all users can receive them.
This feature is available on Apple’s iOS, and it’s expected to come to Android soon.
Users have control over who can contact them through their call settings, and to make a call, the other user must have previously sent a direct message.
In August, X announced plans to collect biometric data and other information under a new privacy policy. After this update, Elon Musk stated that X users would be able to make video and voice calls on both iOS and Android without sharing their phone numbers.
