Sony, Honda Join Hands to sell Electric Vehicles Together

Sony and Honda, two of the world’s largest automakers, have announced plans to collaborate on new electric vehicles, according to Pocket-lint.

The auto titans signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to form a new firm entirely, in keeping with their intention to introduce the first electric vehicle by 2025.

According to the agreement, Honda will be responsible for the design of the first car, while Sony will be in charge of the service platform.

“This might well be the logical step that it was looking for,” says Sony, which showed up concept automobiles at CES earlier this year to illustrate its commitment to getting into the automotive game.

Sony CEO Kenichiro Yoshida spoke at the event, saying that the cooperation will allow his business “contribute to the growth of mobility focused on safety, entertainment, and adaptability.”
