South Africa Shatter these Records During ICC World Cup 2023 Match Against Sri Lanka

In the ICC World Cup 2023 match in Delhi, South Africa made cricket history by smashing records against Sri Lanka.

This match saw a significant feat: three centuries by South African batsmen in one inning, a first in World Cup matches. It was only the fourth time in ODI history that three centuries were achieved in one inning.

South Africa exhibited their batting abilities, amassing a total of 428-5 in 50 overs, setting a new World Cup record.

Aiden Markram, an exceptional talent, achieved the fastest century in a World Cup match. He completed his hundred in just 49 balls, breaking the previous record held by Ireland’s Kevin O’Brien. Markram’s brilliant innings saw him score 106 runs in 54 balls, including 14 fours and three sixes.

Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen also showed their cricketing skills by scoring centuries. De Kock achieved his 18th ODI century off 83 balls, hitting 12 fours and three sixes. He formed a strong partnership of 204 runs for the second wicket with van der Dussen, who achieved his fifth century in this format off 103 balls with 12 fours and three sixes.
