South Korea Announces Scholarship for Pakistani Students

Pakistani students who dream of studying abroad now have an excellent chance to do so. South Korea, through the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), has announced its 2025 KOICA Scholarship Program. This fully funded opportunity will help talented students from developing countries, including Pakistan, to complete their Master’s or PhD degrees at some of South Korea’s top universities.

In 2025, KOICA plans to award 109 scholarships. The study period will be about 17 months for Master’s programs and 36 months for PhD programs. The scholarship covers all major costs, including round-trip airfare, full tuition fees, monthly living allowance, accommodation, and health insurance. Scholars will also receive settlement support when they arrive and a completion grant when they finish their degree.

One important requirement is that the scholarship is mainly for government officials. Applicants must have an official government nomination. They should also be under 40 years old and in good physical and mental health. A strong command of English is needed because the courses are taught in English.

For the Master’s program, students must have a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant work experience. For the PhD, students should already hold a Master’s degree and have a few years of professional experience after that.

The deadline to apply is 31 July 2025. Eligible Pakistani students are encouraged to prepare their documents and apply soon.

This scholarship helps young professionals gain global knowledge and return to Pakistan as future leaders in different fields.
