Pakistan International Airlines stated on Saturday that it will operate two special flights to transport Pakistanis from the war-torn Ukraine into Poland.
Special flights will land in Warsaw, Poland’s capital, on Sunday (February 27) to bring back trapped Pakistanis, according to PIA CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik.
He stated that the airline is in communication with the Pakistani embassy and its authorities in Ukraine.
According to him, the flights will land in Warsaw since cities along the Poland-Ukraine border lack the infrastructure to accommodate large passenger jets.
As the Russian army neared the outskirts of Kyiv, inhabitants took cover in shelters and underground stations, at least 65 Pakistanis, including students, were evacuated from the war-torn Ukraine to Poland.
