Startup Develops Hypersonic Jet ‘Stargazer’ To Fly Passengers At 9-Times The Speed Of Sound

Venus Aerospace, a Houston-based startup has made strides in the aviation industry by completing a groundbreaking project, the ‘Stargazer’. The hypersonic aircraft can reach an impressive Mach 9 which is 9 times the speed of sound.

The aircraft is 150 feet in length and 100 feet in width and is built with a mission to connect cities across the globe by flying at a remarkable speed of 6,905 mph at an altitude of 170,000 ft. It can carry up to 12 people. The key feature in its design is a rotating-detonation engine spinning at a startling rate of 20,000 rotations/second. The continuous supersonic combustion allows for sustained high-speed flight.

The new innovative Stargazer has surpassed the capabilities of previous supersonic jets like the Concorde and Lockheed SR-7 ‘Blackbird’. Stargazer can revolutionize long-distance travel offering an unprecedented speed and efficiency.

Having a remarkable ability to reach Mach 9, the hypersonic aircraft can revamp the future of aviation pushing the boundaries of high-speed transportation.
